Sally’s mother was a dancer/choreographer and her father a legendary Australian actor, singer & comedian. Her parents met at the Palais Theatre, St Kilda in the musical THE DESERT SONG, she wasn’t born in a trunk but it was pretty close!

Sally’s passion for musicals was born when she saw her father play Nicely Nicely Johnson alongside Judith Roberts in Guys & Dolls when she was 8 and then as Sancho Panza in the Australian production of MAN OF LA MANCHA at Her Majesty’s Theatre when she was 10.  Two years later, Sally was playing Annie in the same theatre.

She went on to work with the cream of Australian musical theatre in the musicals NINE and LES MISERABLES before making the move to London in 1991.

A few months after arriving in London, Sally attended an open call for a new production of MY FAIR LADY. After waiting 9 hours to sing, she landed the job, which was directed by Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral). She then continued to work in the West End & around the U.K for the next 13 years, sharing the stage with such stars as Julie Andrews, Judi Dench, Lea Salonga, Ruthie Henshall & Bernadette Peters. Sally was in the ensemble & dance captain on JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Lyceum Theatre) & in the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical THE BEAUTIFUL GAME (Cambridge Theatre). Just prior to returning to Australia, Sally created the role of Andrea in world premier production of JERRY SPRINGER THE OPERA at The Royal National Theatre & then The Cambridge Theatre.
