At the age of 20, Sally won her first adult role in the original Australian cast of the musical NINE starring John Diedrich and a stellar cast of fabulous Australian musical theatre women including; Maria Mercedes, Nancye Hayes, Caroline Gillmer, Tina Arena, Peta Toppano & Jackie Rees.

The Australian cast recording of Nine (which was recorded in two days) is widely regarded as the definitive recording of the show. This was largely down to the talent and brilliance of the shows musical supervisor from London, the magnificent John Owen Edwards.
