HEY MR PRODUCER

Sally was one of many West End performers who appeared in the celebration of musical theatre producer Cameron MacIntosh in HEY, MR PRODUCER at the Lyceum Theatre in London.  The evening was jam packed with stars including; Julie Andrews, Bernadette Peters, Hugh Jackman, Julia McKenzie, Elaine Paige & Judi Dench.  The show featured over 30 numbers from shows produced by Cameron including Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Carousel, Phantom of the Opera, Oklahoma, Cats, Little Shop of Horrors, My Fair Lady, Oliver, Company and many more.

Highlights included Andrew Lloyd Webber & Stephen Sondheim singing a parody of 'Send in the Clowns' (about Cameron), Judi Dench's breathtaking performance of the same song & Bernadette Peters singing 'Being Alive' ... amongst so many others. Being a part of this show, watching these legends in rehearsals & in performance was a definite highlight of Sally's career. It was an incredible collection of shows and talents.

Hey, Mr Producer was performed over two nights, the Queen attended the second show with her husband!

WATCH....

The ensemble of Hey, Mr Producer was made up of 60 performers who had appeared in multiple West End shows, in lead roles and featured a lot of star performers in their own right. The ensemble were involved in many musical numbers throughout the night and were given one number just for themselves; Day by Day from GODSPELL. This was led by Phil Cavill (who played Jean Val Jean with Sally at the Palace Theatre in Les Miseables) and Alison Jiear (who Sally met in the musical NINE in Australia and has been her best friend for over 30 years). Have a listen, this is a great example of folk who know how to lock in harmonies with only 3 rehearsals.
