LES MISERABLES
I joined the original cast of Les Miz in the llate 90's,, then moved to London.Went to Manchester to be a swing..then in the West End for a year... did the 10th anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall.... sitting in front of the leader of the orchestras.... those sounds, sitting in front of the Royal bloody Philharmonic! ... how good is that!..... THEN, I came back for a weekend when I'd not been in the show for over a year.. cos a a good swing knows the tracks, however.....meeting fellow cast members in the 3rd scene, on stage....in a West End show is a bit odd... but I've done worse.
This show will always have a huge part of mt performing life...
In 1988 Sally joined the original Australian cast of LES MISERABLES at the Theatre Royal in Sydney playing Factory Girl alongside Debra Byrne, Sylvie Paladino, Robyn Arthur. Anthony Warlow, Marina Prior, Rob Guest and her life long friend and cabaret partner; Dean Lotherington. She was a part of the cast that moved into the newly refurbished Princess Theatre in Melbourne in 1989.
Les Mis became a big part of Sally’s performing career. Sally appeared in various productions of Les Miz over a 13 year period. When she moved to London, she was cast in the touring production in Manchester & a few years later in the West End production (with her friend from NINE, Alison Jiear) as well as the 10th Anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall, the European Cup Final at Wembley Stadium and the concert version with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki and Gothenburg. There is no cast list on this page as it numbers in the hundreds!
